I am Associate Professor of Asian Studies, School of Humanities, Faculty of Arts and Education, at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

My areas of specialisation include teaching Korean as a second/foreign language; sociolinguistics; bi/multilingualism; heritage language maintenance and education; language, identity and migration; and classroom research.
